I like dc's idea of having members charged with a $2 or 1 pound fee per year, or even every six months, it's not much, its not even the cost of a coffee or a beer, and it would certainly help with your running costs. If people want to have the availability of this site, then its worth a small charge to them to have it. It could be taken straight out of a credit card, they'd never miss it. I'm all for digging in and helping you out!

I have no problems paying for the site at All. I don't see how you can make this work without some type of charge. I would be willing and I think most would.

Selling Mugs et all could result in other issues and would require such things as release forms and so on.

Go for the pay site... would be my suggestion..

WELL on the other hand you need to look at the members when they log on and when was the last time..i belive you will find alot of members not even useing this sight on a monthly basis so there for having this a pay sight would not be the best result
